Photos below were sent by Elizabeth Spike of St. John's School who received permission from the school to plant a wetland garden in the Taub Detention Pond. After getting advice from Linda Knowles, Marissa Sipocz, and Mary Carol Edwards, Elizabeth and her students planted native wetland plants donated by Marissa last week.

Changing detention ponds from mowed grass to native wetland plants provides habitat, beauty, better water retention and better quality of water going into the bayous!
