Houston Audubon seeks Executive Director: The Houston Audubon Society (HAS), one of the top national chapters of the National Audubon Society, is seeking an Executive Director to further its mission of promoting the conservation and appreciation of wildlife habitat and the birds that live there. HAS owns and manages 17 sanctuaries in the Houston area and has an education program that serves thousands of children and adults annually through a variety of innovative approaches. HAS also participates vigorously in conservation issues on the upper Texas Gulf Coast and takes advocacy positions as it deems necessary to protect birds and their habitats. The successful candidate for this position will have a passion for conservation, strong leadership and business skills, prior non-profit experience including donor development and fundraising, experience in management of staff and volunteers, and an interest in birds. for more information about the position and about Houston Audubon.
