Join us in our mission to to develop a corps of well-educated “Master Volunteers” to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated toward the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.

The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist Program furnishes participants with essential information and strategies to restore and conserve our indigenous species and habitats.Throughout your training, local experts will cover interesting topics about our natural resources and lead hands-on field trips to local ecosystems such as rivers, prairies, wetlands, piney woods and the coastal bay.

Classes are offered twice a year and run approximately 12 weeks, (one class per week with 3-5 Saturday field trips): Spring classes start in February and registration starts in January. Fall classes start August and registration starts in July. No education or experience qualifications are needed to be accepted in the Texas Master Naturalist program. The cost for a training class is $150.00.

Gulf Coast Chapter's Spring 2013 Training Session will begin on February 4th.
